My service philosophy

Our commitment to our academic community is just as important as our service to our students. Besides, in an increasingly competitive environment in academia, professional activities and service help us connect to other educators who we can learn from. As a volunteer or participant in conferences, I met great scholars, learned from their research process, and even got to appreciate them as individuals rather than only researchers. 

On a more practical note, I have also been able to make great friends through these activities. So I always seek out opportunities to engage in service activities that help me facilitate social interactions between different groups of scholars and educators.
